EECi Joins GTCC Multi-Chamber EEC Briefing, Highlighting Thai–German Industrial Direction Amid Cost Pressures

Post Date : 27 April 2026

24 April 2025 – The Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi) participated in the GTCC Multi-Chamber EEC Briefing & Networking under the theme “Rising Together: German-Thai Resilience Amid China’s Industrial Surge,” organized by the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce (GTCC) at Hilton Pattaya.

The event served as a strategic platform bringing together key players from both Europe and Thailand across industry, logistics, and technology sectors to exchange perspectives on the evolving competitive landscape in the region.

In addition to EECi, leading private-sector companies such as Jungheinrich, a global expert in intralogistics and automated warehouse systems, and RT Plus Logistics, a Thailand-based logistics provider, joined the discussion. Their participation underscored the growing convergence between manufacturing technologies and supply chain systems—now a critical driver of competitiveness in modern industry.

Theme of the discussion was the shifting nature of industrial competition, Chinese manufacturers who are no longer competing solely on cost; they are rapidly advancing in speed, technology, and the development of fully integrated, end-to-end ecosystems. This shift is compelling companies to move beyond being merely efficient manufacturers toward becoming truly innovation-driven organizations.

Within this context, EECi presented a different narrative for Thailand—not as a low-cost production base, but as a platform for technology development and testing. This enables companies to strengthen their competitive capabilities through access to advanced infrastructure that bridges the full innovation pipeline—from research to pilot, testbed, and industrial application (Research → Pilot → Testbed → Industry).

Overall, the event clearly reflected that Thai–German collaboration is evolving beyond traditional investment. It is increasingly focused on building a shared ecosystem that integrates technology, expertise, and infrastructure to address the growing complexity of regional competition.
